Equine

Our equine clinic based in Kilmarnock has a team of dedicated, exclusively equine clinicians. We provide first opinion and emergency services to clients and their horses and donkeys in Ayrshire, Greater Glasgow and Renfrewshire.
For cases requiring further investigation or treatment we have in-patient stabling, with competent caring nurses and yard staff. We also accept referrals from other veterinary surgeons.
We are also able to do Official Joint Measurement Board Certificates, as our vet Mr Hugh Jardine is an Offical Measurer.

* Lameness Investigation
Full diagnostic x-ray and ultrasound facilities available.

* Radiography
Digital radiography providing excellent quality images, with a separate dental X-ray machine.
* Ultrasound scanners
Allowing the imaging of internal organs to complement radiographic images.
* Laboratory
Our in house laboratory run by the veterinary nurses allows rapid results of blood tests, urinalysis and cytology providing an excellent service to our patients.
* Endoscopes
A variety of endoscopes allowing video-endoscopy of the gastrointestinal tract and the respiratory tract.
* Dentistry
Complex procedures, including tooth removal, repair and correction.
* Surgery
For general anesthesia we have an equine operating room and recovery box with equine operating table.
* Reproduction
Reproduction examinations and artificial insemination programs undertaken.
* Opthalmology
Dr Matthews is a European diplomat and examines referred cases.

* Medicine
Cardiac, abdominal ultrasound and respiratory endoscopy for equine cases.
