Our farm department consists of 4 full time veterinarians, covering farms all over Ayrshire and beyond. We have a dedicated team providing 24 hour care and advice, and an out of hours service is available for all emergencies.

The vets spend the majority of their time treating cattle on both dairy and beef farms. However a wide range of other farm species including sheep, goats, poultry and even the occasional alpaca are treated.

As well as this, the farm department also focuses on herd health plans and preventative medicine, particularly reproduction (dairy and suckler herds) and mastitis management programmes. With the help of farmers, we design health plans which aim to further reduce the incidence of disease and therefore improve animal welfare and farm profitability.
